Geocache Description:

Your choice how to get here. Plane, Auto, Lambofeetee. Hence the WuFuDu. Walk Up, Fly Up, Drive up.

CONGRATS TO BERNSPORTS FOR THE FTF. I WAS BEGINNING TO WONDER IF PLACING THIS ONE HERE WAS WISE. My WuFuDu series is dedicated to out of the way, small airports, public and/or private, and areas where there used to be an airport but it is no longer there. Most of the large civilian and military airports are pretty well covered. In this case, you are at the Silver Springs Airport. A small general aviation airport in Silver Springs, Lyon County, Nevada. There is plenty of parking well off the side of the highway but may be affected by inclement weather or remnants of inclement weather. One of the things I've always been amazed at is the aircraft you should see right in front of you. This aircraft is an EF-111 Raven electronic warfare bird. What it is doing here I have no idea, but obviously it's been here a while. It is occasionally moved around the airport but not under it's own power. I doubt it will ever fly again even though the wings are on the ground nearby. It is missing the engines and probably many of the avionics. The EF-111 Raven, also known as the Spark 'Vark, is an aircraft that is based on the F-111 Aardvark. You can go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Dynamics/Grumman_EF-111A_Raven to see a full description of the aircraft. I have made this cache quite a bit more difficult and will adjust the D/T rating based on finds, or lack of. Take the difficulty into account when looking as well as if you should put in a DNF (Did Not Find) log, make sure you understand that this cache can be considered DIFFICULT IN THE EXTREMIS! Getting to it is actually easy. Finding it might cause sleepless nights, addictions to Xanax, and a plethora of cuss words to eminate from your vocal chords. (all directed at me of course). Some proper geocaching tools may be required. Be guided accordingly. And please understand, I have been instructed by some twisted individuals. Team Sagebrushers, NevadaWolf, and Puzzleman to name a few. So I am taking a huge enjoyment out of this one by causing some headaches.
