The Silver Snitch Traditional Cache
Space Queen: This was a great cache and I'll miss it a lot. Thanks to everyone who searched for the snitch and to all the great seekers who caught it!! :) It was sad to take it out of the tree yesterday, but it'll find a new home soon in Michigan. Thanks again!! :)

This cache was placed in honor of the wonderful Iowa State University Cyclone Quidditch 'Varsity' Seekers. When I was but a lowly young snitch, I would fly to this very location, rest upon my perch, and taunt the novice Quidditch players. The Seekers would try their hardest, but could not reach me easily. A snitch of sorts now remains in this exact same place, providing a nice view of central campus.
While this cache is not recommended for those unable to maneuver well, it is definitely possible for those in adequate physical condition. This cache has potential risk involved, so bring rope if it would make you feel more comfortable. Remember, you are caching at your own risk. Do not make foolish choices while acting as the Seeker. A western approach is how we went about placing the cache and it should provide you with an avenue to begin, but either a boost or upper-body strength is required to get started. If you have trouble with it, feel free to email us and we will assist you as we deem reasonable.
Parking is available in the area; just pay attention to the signs. The local law enforcement likes to hand out lovely, yellow tags that only cost $15. Also, beware the muggles. Many like to roam this open field and will congregate around a tree climber (from experience).
Also, the log can be a little tricky to get out, so bring tweezers!
Be sure to screw the bottom of the cache back into the top as far as possible when you have finished! We have had some people not securing it and we do not want to lose the cache! It sticks in a few places but should screw in most of the way.
Also know that a requirement to logging this cache online is to sign the physical log. If you forget tweezers, a pen, etc. please just log it as a "Did Not Find" and return later to sign the log. Thanks!
