This is the eighth annual HAG and the theme this year is Weird and Wonderful; we're confident that your HAG caches will indeed be just that.
1) Hiding HAG caches begins on January 1st and can continue up to 12 midnight on Friday, February 3rd. This is officially the Vancouver Island HAG but if anyone would like to hide caches on any of the other Gulf Islands that would be great too.
2) All the caches that are presented for publication in time will be published by the Wizard of Ooze and Scootch on Saturday, Feb 4th.
3) LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, YOU MAY START YOUR ENGINES AND BEGIN THE HUNT.
4) The cut off for the competition (e.g. for the Most HAG Finds trophy) will be February 29th at midnight,
and finally,
5) we have the wind-up Bash at the 6-Mile Pub..time to swap stories, present trophies and generally have a high old time.
Just a few guide lines:
. PLEASE don't put HAG 8 at the beginning of your cache title (confusing to see 90 or so caches show up on your GPS all beginning with HAG); in fact you don't have to include it in the title at all - just say somewhere in your description that this is a HAG8 cache.
. DO REMEMBER to include a "note to reviewer" saying that this is a HAG 8 cache for release on Saturday February 4th;
. DO REMEMBER that there will be no FTFs recognised that are found prior to the caches publication by the Reviewers. The Wizard of Ooze and Scootch are primed and ready to leap into action, and will begin publishing ASAP after the deadline.
. DO LIST your cache(s) on the VIGPS forumLink.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all you great HAG cache hiders, and to everyone who participated in HAG 8.
