Un lavoir et fontaine entouree
Il y a maints lavoirs en France, dont plusieurs en Charente Maritime. J’aurais voulu mettre une cache pres du lavoir a La Chapelle des Pots, ou la nymphe de la source demande qu’on ne derange pas son sommeil ! Mais le lavoir la est au centre du village, le coin est tres frequente, et peut-etre on aurait le probleme de moldus.
Donc pour cette cache j’ai choisi un autre lavoir que nous avons trouve au cours d’un circuit de 7 kms. (Depart le parking pres de la musee de la ceramique a La Chapelle des Pots, balisage rouge/blanc et puis jaune. Plus d’infos sur un panneau la.)
Mais, bien sur, on peut y arriver par voiture ou velo, sans probleme, entre 1 et 2 kms. de La Chapelle, a cote de la route a Saintes.
Si vous n’etes pas presses, faites aussi une visite au village avec son lavoir interessant, et prenez peut-etre un cafe au bar.
There are very many lavoirs in France and a lot of them are in Charente Maritime. I wanted to put a cache near the lavoir in La Chapelle des Pots, where the spring’s guardian nymph enjoins that no-one should disturb her sleep ! But the lavoir there is in the middle of the village, at a busy spot, and perhaps there would be problems with muggles.
So for this cache I chose another lavoir that we found while doing a 7 km. circular walk (leaving from the parking near the Museum of Ceramic Art in La Chapelle des Pots, waymarked red/white and then yellow. More information on the board there.)
But you can get to the cache by car or bike, about a mile from La Chapelle, by the side of the road to Saintes.
If you’re not in a hurry, visit the village – with its interesting lavoir - as well, and perhaps have a coffee in the bar.
