Geocache Description:

An easy cache in Chiltern's third cemetery.

In the first 30 years of European settlement, Chiltern used three cemeteries - each one now has a geocache associated with it...
The Pioneer Cemetery (cache Pioneer's Resting place GC2RE0R (visit link) ) is about 4km North of town and was used in the 1850s, but was felt to be too stony and too far from town. The Old Cemetery about 4km west (cache Martin and Clara GC2A80B (visit link) ) was used from 1860 to 1881, but was thought too swampy.
The New Cemetery has been used since 1881 and has proved to be just right, and still has plenty of room.... You may be interested by the religious segregation of the graves, with the Jews miles away from everyone else....

Note the snake warning signs at each entrance! - the cache is not on or in a grave.

Cache when placed was a small Systema container with logbook, pencil, a few of my OS coins and a geocoin.
