A race around The Wharton Tract in South Jersey !!!
You will be collecting items using coordinates and a camera to earn the most points in this cold, night-time hunt.
$50.00 cash First Prize !
Consolation prizes for second and third !
Meeting at 6:15p.m. at posted coords for sign in and registration packets.
This will be a four hour 'scavenger' hunt with a few twists ! Cameras, teamwork, knowledge of the Pines and Smart phone skills are the only requirements to win yourself some cash.
“ Rules & Regulations”
First and foremost, let’s be good sports. Honest. Fair. Safe. Careful.
Don’t attempt ANYTHING on these pages without someone who has done them before.
Teams do not need to remain together during the hunt
Teams can consist of a minimum of two people with a maximum of SIX ( upped from five)
Your team can use one to three vehicles. 4x4 is highly recommended for at least one member or your team.
Your team should have a navigator who knows the ins and outs of the area. There are many water hazards out in the Wharton. Please use caution and know your vehicles limits.
Your team should have someone who is organized, with a camera that has a screen which photos can be viewed on easily. AND A FLASH !( ie: modern cameras, smart phones)
You should come prepared with enough food, water and gas to last you the full four hours. You won’t have time to stop if you want to win this one !!
There will be no water caches, kayaking, boating or rock climbing for this event.
Flashlights will be helpful.
Children may not be able to handle the rigors of traveling the Pines for five hours in the back seat at night. Just sayin…
Waypoint key turns and trailheads to get you in and out of the pockets and crazy trails out there.
*** Prepare for anything! Fill up your tank, break out that headlamp. A phone charger is a really good idea, too !***
