This cache is placed at the former site of the 'alligator farm'
There used to be an old farmhouse & barn at this location, it was demolished to make room for the new bridge and redesigned interchange. Years ago some of the locals would stop by the farm after work, to relax, sit on the porch and have a drink. It was during a particularly wet winter when the river was running high, some of the visitors saw a few logs floating down the river. Having had alittle too much to drink they concluded that they must be alligators!
After this the locals referred to this property as the 'Alligator Farm'. There are times when the sun is just setting, that you can glance up towards the east, and for just a minute you can still see the good ole boys sitting on the porch watching the world going by.
