Geocache Description:

Redmond is a small town situated about 26 kilometres north-west of the regional city of Albany.
The town began when a railway siding was opened in the area in 1912 which was initially called Mulikupp. The townsite was later renamed Redmond. In 1913 blocks were subdivided and by 1916 a school had been built and the town was gazetted. It is thought that the town was named after the Irish Nationalist leader, John Edward Redmond.
The hall is currently used for many community activities and acts as the local postal agency.
The current population of this little country area is just over 300.
The cache contains only a log book and scratchies for the FTF. Please replace it carefully back into position afterwards.

Have fun!
