Our first hide! We love Huntsville State Park and placed this during our second annual Thanksgiving camp-out. There are plenty of other caches in the area, so enjoying one of the park's many hikes can yield a few finds.
Beware of chiggers in the tall grasses along the park's trails! Our kids have gotten the itchy bites 2 years running. They're not a big deal, but annoying and avoidable. Use repellant on your legs and ankles, and under tight-fitting clothes/waistbands. Enjoy! :-)
This is a standard-sized "official" geocache snap-lid plastic container. Starting-out with a variety of items (will attach photo).
We are starting the "Peace Out" travel bug, which is attached to a small red ceramic peace sign our kids made. Would love for this to make a trip to visit our troops, wherever they may be.
