A puzzle cache, solved by walking from Exeter Canal Bridge south to the canal mouth between the river and canal. The cache is not at the coordinates given, but is approx two miles downstream.
In total, this cache requires a 4.5 mile walk, over some uneven and somewhat overgrown ground, although solving the puzzle will take just three miles. Depending on the season, nettles can be a problem and long trousers and boots are advisable. The ground can be slippery.
Free parking is available at the given waypoint.
Before you leave, print THIS SHEET and take it with you. Walk from BRIDGE to PUB, with the canal on your right, looking out for the things photographed on the sheet (or below). As you spot the clues, put them in order from BRIDGE to PUB and give them a letter from A to J as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0. When you have all the clues in order, replace the letters in the following coordinates with the numbers for each picture.
N 50 EB.D(H+I)G W 003 HJ.FC(C+A)
The solution cache can be found there. (*NOT at the pub*)
