Geocache Description:

Located in First Landing State park. (Park in the real parking areas!)

If you've ever been to this park to geocache before, you're going to enjoy this a little differently than you usually do. Hike in only. It's about a 3.5 mile hike (round trip) from where we parked. Where you enter the park and where you park are up to you. Look at a map, and pick the best way in for this one. (This is the originating point for my first Travel Bug--- Round Trip ElmoBug. He's trying to get to Australia and back.)

Starting inventory includes:

  • Round Trip Elmo Bug
  • Waterproof matches
  • golf tees
  • a package of Post-it notes
  • a wheresgeorge dollar
  • A kids' play toy
Use caution to avoid the eyes of the many bikers and joggers who love this park!

CACHE NOTE: (8/23/02) Went this AM to do a little upkeep on the cache. Brought along a new, but slightly smaller, container. I've returned the cache to its' original location, and removed the 1st container from the site. WOW! What a difference a few monhts make. With all the greenery, I could barely find the original site (--Bring bug spray!). Hope you enjoy this!
