YLHDSK - You light up my life Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

onecrazycanadian: Hi,

This cache has been disabled or in need of maintenance for an extended period of time. Due to the lack of response toward the needed maintenance since my last contact, I am archiving the cache. If you do happen to complete the maintenance required and wish to activate the cache again just let me know and I will consider unarchiving it once the issue is resolved.

Thanks!

Geocache Description:

You are searching for a small, bright green bison tube that is not immediately visible. Parking to the northwest of the cache would be the safest but if you must park along the highway please be sure to park on the extreme edge of the shoulder of the road. Please bring your own writing stick as the cache only contains a log book. If you could be so kind, if you don’t mind, replace the cache as good or better than you did find.

In December and on into winter, evening and night time travelers along the eastern Saskatchewan section of the Yellowhead (Highway 16) are greeted by a spectacular display of Christmas and winter lights. Bredenbury has won the national WinterLights competition for communities with populations under 1,000 in 2001, 2002 and 2005. As a result of the community involvement with the Christmas celebrations, Bredenbury has hosted the CPR Holiday Train. Christmas in Bredenbury started out relatively small with a single street that dubbed itself 'Candy Cane Lane' and sported matching red and white candy canes down the length of the entire street. In subsequent years, the rest of the town has caught that same spirit, and the town is home to a special 'Light Up' ceremony at the beginning of December each year, along with elaborate displays at private homes, businesses and empty lots throughout the town.
If you have the opportunity, please take a ‘twinkle’ tour of this town during the Christmas season. This cache along with two other caches are placed with the intent of showcasing what a small prairie community can do to make the Festive Season more enLIGHTening.
The cache should be available year around but retrieval could be a streeeeetch for the vertically challenged. For added enjoyment, these three Bredenbury caches, placed by myself, are easy enough to be searched for at night with the aid of a flashlight. Although I used accepted protocol in determining the coordinates, please realize that this is one of my first caches and it still indicates that the coordinates could be off by as much as 5 feet. Please feel free to suggest new and improved coordinates.

Congratulations to parker2 for being the first to find!!
