Have wanted to place a cache in this area for some time now. We were up camping on this wonderful Thanksgiving weekend and decided to go ahead and hide a couple of caches while here.
We actually used a boat to place this one and kinda, sorta, recommend using this method for going after it. You can, however, get to it by land if you don't mind doing some bushwhacking. The walk out to it isn't too bad but you will have to access it from Sandy Creek Park. According to the nice lady at the gate (i called and talked to her on 1-23-17), there is no day use fee.
The cache is small and camoflaged pretty well. It might be hard to spot so we've included a hint below to narrow things down a bit.
