Geocache Description:

The Texas Spirit Quest
is a series of Caches placed by many individuals, near cemeteries and historic sites in hopes of paying respect to the many pioneer ancestors that have ‘walked’ before us.

There are hundreds of cemeteries in the rural communities across Texas. This series will introduce you to many of them. The cache pages will provide a virtual history tour of the cemeteries, tombstones and local lore.

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE CEMETERY! No clear way of accessing the site could be found. From the cache's location, this country graveyard is roughly 700 or so feet away on that side of the road, a little south of due west within a quadrangle of trees. There are 35 interments at this hyper-obscure site, primarily members of the Crockett, Gregg, and Hill families, although of course one of the omni-present Fowlers is to be found here as well. Dates of death range from 1853 to 1994.

The original placement of this cache prior to 05/23/20 was unusually clever for me, but the replacement site is now stupid obvious. As always, any refinements to the listed coordinates are welcomed.
