Location: Lanzarote, Spain
Situated on the sunny volcanic island of Lanzarote in the Canaries,
this is presumably Europe's both most southern and western
geocache. The cache is located on the side of the Pico Colorado
mountain near the village Soo in the northern part of the island.
The stash consists of an army surplus ammo can hidden within a pile
of rocks and lava blocks on top of a small knoll on the northern
face of the mountain. The stash is best approached on foot or
mountain bike from the north, east or west - several dirt tracks
lead to the location. The ammo can is the small model and is rather
full of sundry goodies - so don't bring anything too big to
trade.
