Geocache Description:

ABOUT THE SERIES:
  • These "Puzzler" challenge caches get progressively harder to achieve. The first (2.5% at 250) isn't terribly difficult. The last (10% at 1000+) is admitedly very difficult. I've met people who qualify at over 10k but that is REALLY hard.
  • Typically, challenge caches are at a fixed location. Since this is about puzzles, I deviated from that norm. Each puzzle is meant to be easy. If you have any difficulty with the puzzles, let me know.
  • Each hide should be pretty straightforward. The Difficulty rating of these caches represents the difficulty in qualifying.

To qualify for this cache, you need to have achieved at least a 7.5% "Unknown Cache" find rate after having found at least 750 total caches (all types inclusive). You can see this by looking at your statistics page.

Please post a screenshot of your statistics as proof of attaining the goal. I recommend a screenshot because a link to your stats may look invalid if your puzzle find percentage drops in the future.

If you find this cache before attaining the goal, feel free to write a NOTE. After you attain the goal, you can then log a FOUND entry.

The puzzle begins here:
====================================================================

Normally, I tend to like puzzles that teach me something new. Caching provides a lot of opportunities to meet new people and learn new topics. Every time I find a puzzle that treads on a new topic (for me) or a new technique I smile (and hopefully someday get a smiley). Recently, I've been trying out a series of caches from AZCampbell. Most people would probably think I am nuts, but I'm actually starting to really like clever hides as well as clever puzzles. I don't know if/when I'll get around to making clever hides; none of mine to-date are hard to find and this series of "Puzzlers" is no exception. Developing that skillset is something that intrigues me but I want to do it right. Some people say that it's best to learn from those who do it well before attempting it yourself.

Whether you like tough hides or not, I know you like a challenge or you wouldn't even consider this hard-to-qualify-for cache. Another reason I decided to create this series was actually to compliment the many puzzle makers I've encountered. All of the effort and creativity they put into their caches helps to create a great experience for others. While I love puzzles though, I definitely don't want to give the impression that I dislike other cache types. Playing this game/sport/hobby with my daughter is great. Her favorite type of cache is the good Ol' Traditional. Every time she finds a small or regular sized traditional, she hopes there will be good swag to trade for. She knows that puzzles can result in the same size caches, but she doesn't really get into solving them - yet. What we both like best is that we get to spend time together having fun outdoors, who can argue with that?
