A flash mob at the very beginning of leap day!
All right, this is for those of you who have been staring at February 29, 2012 as your last day to complete a-cache-a-day type caches (wait, if none of you are staring at that, hmmm, maybe we are GeoIdiots). Well anyway, here is your chance to knock off Feb. 29, 2012 in group style at the first possible opportunity.
Come one, come all if you are dedicated, committed or just plain addicted enough that you are willing to show up for a Flash Mob at 12:01 AM on Wednesday, February 29, 2012!! Flash Mob procedure applies: We will gather unobtrusively at a local dining establishment that is open 24/7 without greeting each other, then assemble quickly at 12:01 on the nose, maybe have a warm beverage or snack together, sign the logbook, take a photo, and then disperse at exactly 12:15 AM as if nothing has happened.
WE being DeweyDoubleD and Cornflakes will finally get to stop looking at this one that resides at the top of our lists and has since the GeoIdiots Co-President put this one out.
Update January 2012: Geocaching.com is trying to set a new record for caches (including events) logged on 2/29/12, and anyone finding a cache or attending an event on that day will get a special icon. So if you were looking for two more reasons to attend, there you have them!
