This cache is on the summit of Penas Blancas at an altitude of 2071ft/631mtrs
El cache se encuentra en el cima de los Peñas Blancas a un altitude de 631 metros
Penas Blancas is the highest point in this area. Access can be gained by many routes but I consider this to be the easiest.
Park at N37 35.924 W001 08.431. Walk left on main road for 50mtrs then turn left on to narrow lane. Proceed via N37 36.187 W001 08.534 --- N37 36.116 W001 08.950. Then to the mountain hut at N37 36.194 W001 09.220. which is near the summit and the cache. This hut is for the use by walkers who may be caught out in bad weather. The journey to the cache will take about 1hr 30mins. It is also possible to reach this cache from Penas Blancas View cache GC2MZMV but this is a difficult route and should only be used by experienced hill walkers.
From the top there are magnificent views and on a clear day it is possible to see the snow topped Sierra Nevada. This is nice walk in the mountains but please note the terrain grading 4.5.
Se recomiendan calzado apto para la Montana o la travesia y una cantidad de agua. No se recomienda ascenso con mal tiempo o nubosidad. Prestos cuidados preferentamente a los niños especialmente en zonas de descensos abruptos.
Los Peñas Blancas son el punto mas alto de la region. Hay acceso por varias rutas, pero el siguiente es, en mi opinion, el mas facil. Parking esta disponible a N37 35.924 W001 08.431. Anda por la carretera principal ( hacia Cartagena) poir 50 metros, Tomas la bocacalle a la izquierda. Continua por este sender estrecho y por N37 36.187 W001 08.534—N37 36.116 W001 08.950.subiendo hasta el Refugio a N37 36.194 W001 09.220, un viaje de 90 minutos mas o menos.Este refugio sirve los escaladores y senderistas sorprendidos por el mal tiempo. Esta ubicado cercamo a la cumbre y al sitio del cache. Es possible llegar hasta el cache por otras rutas (por ejemplo. Desde Peñas Blancas View cache GC2MZMV), pero, en general, estas son mas dificiles, deben de intentarlas solo senderistas experimentados. Desde los cumbre de Las Peñas Blancas hay magnificas vistas, con Buena visibilidad se puede ver la Sierra Nevada. Aviso, el nivel de dificultad del terreno es 4,5
