Located at the Swatara Overlook picnic area of Sweet Arrow Lake County Park. Placed with permission of the Park Supervisor. Bring a fishing rod and a picnic lunch to enjoy the area. The creek is stocked with trout.
Park at the Park sign. Should be a quick find. look for a Maxwell House container.
This is a new picnic area and not well known. Upper Little Swatara Creek flows into Sweet Arrow Lake. It exits the Lake over a waterfall and then travels to Pine Grove where it joins Lower Little Swatara Creek and the Main Branch of Swatara Creek. Unfortunately this juncture of three creeks occasionally floods and creates devastation in Pine Grove. The flood of 2011 was the worst in recent history.
