3 Town Tree Letterbox Hybrid

This cache has been archived.

phild31: This has become too much trouble to keep up and running.
After seven years of several stamps being stolen ( why the heck steal the stamp anyway? ) logbooks gone, all the swag & toys taken I'm just sick and tired of it.
When I got here this morning the only things still in the cache is the frozen solid geocaching logbook and the charm left by aaniyah123, thank you - I'll keep it as a reminder of all the many nice Geocachers that have found this Letterbox Hybrid over the years.

Nothing else at all is left of the Letterbox, no logbook, no stamp, no swag, no TBs, just an empty 5 gallon bucket!

So this is gone!!

Geocache Description:

Please stay on the trails going in and out!
Bushwhacking out to the road for a shortcut will cross private property!

Stay on the trails and you will get within less than 100 feet of the cache.
Or you could go here - LINK - and find it sans coordinates.

Park at the end of Reeves Road.

Now a short tutorial on Letterboxing;

Letterboxing started about 150 years ago, it started when a gentleman simply left his calling card in a bottle by a remote pool on the moors of Dartmoor, in England.
Then challenged his friends to find it.
You could say that Geocaching is high tech Letterboxing.

The letterbox log book is for you to stamp your personal stamp image into then date & sign.
The Letterbox stamp (3 Town Tree) stays in the cache and is to stamp into your personal log book, to collect the stamp images from all the letterboxes you find.
To learn about letterboxing go here - LETTERBOXING

Look on the 'Open Street Map' on this page for a very good map of the trails.

The trail going out to Grove Street is on private property. Please do NOT use it.

I was going to make this harder but figured I would rather have people spending their time hiking and exploring these great trails in the Landlocked Forest.
One of the trails passes close to the 3 town corner monument and it's only 430 feet from the cache, so the name.
The cache is snow friendly.
This is a large container, a 5 gallon bucket.
There are two log books, one for the letterbox and one for the geocache.
Please leave the letterbox stamp in the bag with the letterbox log.
And of course if you are a Letterboxer, stamp and sign both logs.

I left a lot of swag to start but no TBs, so don't worry about trading up or trading even for swag.

The letterbox stamp and my personal stamp;
Congratulations to Bigrock95
for the FTF

I guess it pays to check the Letterboxing.org site now and then!

Congratulations for FTF {after Geocaching published it} to Froedo & LasaCana
