This is one in a series of caches entitled "Take a Hike". There are no puzzles, no multi's, no challenging hides in this series; instead, what they share in common is a good hike in the woods, enjoyable in any season.
This is a much shorter hike than its companion cache, "Take a Hike: Crane Pond." This is on the western side of the Crane Pond Wildlife Management Area, and the hike will bring you to a nice view of some water and a beaver dam. Be cautioned: this is a popular area for hunting. In fact, on your hike in you'll walk past a posted poem that is a nice tribute to a hunter's faithful companion. Enjoy your hike!
