A multi-stage cache located in the picturesque Village of Cooperstown. This cache is family friendly and wheelchair accessible.
A tribute to the Village Library and Government, and located near the Baseball Hall of Fame, this building was built by the Clark family to be used as a YMCA, Library, and Museum. Thus, the beginning of the current library housed since 1898. Public Safety and Village government offices are located in the lower level of this historic structure while the Library and Museum are located on the second and third floor respectively.
This cache has been designed as multi-cache to both protect the structure of the building and the integrity of the cache. There is no need to enter the building at any time, although those inside are well aware of what you are doing. The challenge is anonymity...as the muggle tourists should not realize what you are up to!!!
This cache was placed in cooperation with the Village of Cooperstown Board of Trustees, the Village Police Department, and several village staff.
Please take care to not relocate the cache from its original location as its arrangement is integral to the permission of cache placement.

To all those who seek this cache: This cache is a challenge! The coordinates for the first stage will only get you in the ballpark...get close and put down your gps. Use your geosenses! Also, although the inhabitants of the building, who are in plain sight at all times of the cache, are aware of your activities, PLEASE do not disturb them for help with finding the cache. They are working to keep the visitors and inhabitants of Cooperstown safe. Both COs are available at all times to assist you. Just drop us a line. Have a great time!
