The
Indiana Spirit Quest series of geocaches will take you to a number
of historic cemeteries built by Hoosier Pioneers. In just over a
year and a half, the quest has grown to over three hundred caches
hidden in twenty-six Indiana counties, and the hiders consist of
several cacher teams, which are comprised of A Man and His Dog...
and one who is a Dog and her Woman. Over 600 cacher teams have
logged over 7,000 finds.
INDIANA
SPIRIT QUEST #309
”Just Horsin
Around"
I could not have
made this one up even if I wanted to. Yes, as I was getting out of
my vehicle the kids started screaming at me about the horse
wandering around in the cemetery. It is not like this is an out of
the way rural setting. This is downtown Greenfield! Within a couple
of minutes they wanted rides. I am not that crazy...
Welcome to the Park Cemetery, Center Township, Hancock
County in downtown Greenfield. Aside from the strange wildlife
encountered on this visit, this is the largest and primary cemetery
for the town of Greenfield. As in any large cemetery you can find
about anything you are looking for.
This magnificant Doughboy marks the grave of Sergeant Paul D
Stine. Although the front rim of the hat is gone, this WWI Doughboy
is in relatively good condition. He greets you at the end of the
drive."
WARNING: FIND LOGS ON THIS CACHE THAT INDICATE NIGHT
CACHING WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT
NOTICE!
The cache container is in a camouflaged
pill bottle. Please leave it at least as well concealed, if not
better, than you found it. If you find fallen or worn US flags at
the graves of veterans, please take a moment to upright or replace
them. Dispose of worn US flags in a respectable manner.
If you find the coordinates to be a little off, do not
hesitate to post a waypoint with your
log.
"Indiana Spirit Quest" is brought to you by the following
