Welcome to Austin Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MN.Fruitcake: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact me (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, I'll be happy to unarchive it.

***NOTE: If you have any questions, do not reply to the archive note email. Click on the link to go to the cache page and click on my name in the archive log at the bottom of the page. You can then send me an email regarding the cache. Please send me a link to the cache in question so I will know which cache it is regarding. I will not see notes posted to this cache page once it is archived.

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

Here is a little history about the “Welcome to Austin” cache. When my family and I were traveling this summer, we wanted to hit some caches along the way. We wanted something that wasn’t too far off our path and a cache size of regular or bigger. This cache should be an easy park, short walk and grab. It is a camouflage 5 gallon bucket. You will find items in the cache that symbolize Austin. Also, inside you will find items that tell you a little about my family. I’ve included a disposable camera for you to take photos of yourself or something to let us know about you or your family. When logging your cache, I would appreciate if you would include your city or state. Thanks! The shortest route to this cache is to take I-90, Exit 180B and park at these coordinates:

N43*40.479 W092*56.337

View of parking area.

From here it is a short walk (approx. 430 feet) to the cache. I’ve included a pencil & a gel pen but you might want to bring your own, just to be on the safe side.

Good luck and happy caching!
