Lough Sillan is a lake located near the town of Shercock in east County Cavan, near the border with County Monaghan. Lough Sillan is small compact lake of 460 acres.
There is a well-equipped playground, which is open to the public, on the lake along the Cootehill Road out of Shercock.There are also picnic benches.
The lake is very popular with fishermen and water sports enthusiasts alike and is suitable for water skiing and jet skiing.
