Sälboda kraftstation är en av Sveriges äldsta, som fortfarande är i bruk. Det var den 14 december 1899 som Arvika fick elkraft överförd genom högspänd ström från vattenfallet i Sälboda, som låg hela 13 kilometer därifrån. Överföring av elektrisk ström vid större avstånd befann sig vid denna tid ännu på experimentstadiet.
Ett av de ursprungliga aggregaten är fortfarande i bruk.

Sälboda power station is one of the oldest, still in use. It was December 14, 1899 when Arvika received power transmitted through high-voltage power from the waterfall in Sälboda as long as 13 kilometers away.
