There's nothing I like better than a cache in a tree. And I know a
lot of you out there agree with me. So to celebrate our high and
mighty geocaching accomplishments, I bring you the Vertically
Challenge.
The qualifications are pretty simple. You must have found and
logged 50 caches for which you had to climb to get them.
Fortunately, Geocaching.com provides attributes that mark which
caches you have to climb to get. Those attributes are:
Unfortunately, when I ran a PQ of my finds with those
attributes, I came up empty. Now I KNOW I've climbed some trees, so
a second qualification will be as follows:
"Any cache that is located in a forest or tree filled
environment that have a terrain rating of 3.5 - 4.5"
So, all you have to do is put together a bookmark list of 50
caches that either A. Has any of the three attributes listed above,
or B. Fits the description in quotes.
Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Cache owner
don't always give their caches accurate terrain ratings, so if you
think you have one, email me, and I'll give it a look. Chances are
if you're emailing me about a cache I haven't personally found, I
probably won't accept it.
Similarly, you may have found a cache in the past that does fit
the criteria I describe (3.5-4.5 in the woods) that DOESN'T require
you to climb. If so, it will still qualify you, but is that really
how you want to win?
Past finds DO count!
If you have found a multi-stage cache, be it a multi, puzzle,
etc that required climbing for one of the stages - that
qualifies.
Climbing onto structures (bridge, etc) in a manner other than
the intended pedestrian route also qualifies.
If you would prefer to keep your bookmark list private, of if
you are a cache owner who would rather their cache not appear on
the Vertically Challenge bookmark list I'm making (due to spoilers,
etc), please contact me privately. In the interest of not giving
away spoilers, I have hidden the Bookmark list and it is now only
accessible

be noticed. You've been warned.
