This cache is located next to Moosehead Lake on State Gamelands 119. There is minimal bushwacking involved since the trail is an old railroad bed. This area is soon to be part of a rails to trails project which will make the walking a lot easier. The closest parking to the cache without going on private land is located at N41.07.473 W075.49.430.
This is Moosehead Lake. It is one of the best fishing spots I know of because most people don't want to walk all the way in there. The walk itself is a little over 3 miles round trip. Take the trail from the parking area to the railroad bed and then follow the railroad bed to the cache. It is a great walk since this area is rich with wildlife. While placing this cache I saw 7 deer and 5 grouse along the trail. I strongly recommend making a day trip out of this one and bring some fishing poles. I never left this lake empty handed. The cache is located on gamelands so wear orange during the hunting seasons and remember to replace the cache as good as or better than you found it.
