Marianne Limpert - Olympic Athlete
Marianne Limpert participated in three consecutive Summer Olympic Games (1992, '96; and '00), winning silver at the 1996 games in Atlanta, Georgia.
During her swimming career, Marianne won a total of 19 medals (seven gold, six silver, and six bronze) in international and national meets (Commonwealth Games, Canada Summer Games, FINA World Championships, Pan American Games, Pan Pacific Games, and Santa Clara International Swim Meet.
Won Silver at the 1996 Olympic Summer Games in Atlanta, U.S. in the 200-metre individual medley.
This cache is located in front of the new YMCA complex with its state of the art swimming pool.
She was inducted into the NB Sports Hall of Fame in 2008 and inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame in 2007.
