Geocache Description:

Right outside of the town of Pawling on the AT at a elavation of 1200FT

Come and get it! This spot is one of my favorite places on Earth. This one is in an easy place to find but the hike to it is substantial. The hike is only about a mile with the first third being mostly flat then you have about a 600FT gain in elevation in the last two thirds of a mile. Take West Dover Rd out of Pawling and park at The giant Oak tree where the Appalachian Trail Crosses West Dover Rd. If you are coming from the south the pull off will be on your right then just look up to the left to see your goal. This trail is very slick until May/June. The cache is a standard Nato ammo can. You must also visit the Bloop! cache that is only .60miles to the east of this one. Have a Blast, good place for lunch. :-)
