I'm Still Alive Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Meggorie: I’m archiving all of my owned caches, since I don’t have time to maintain them. I will remove all physical containers for each cache next weekend when I actually have a day off. I wish I had more time to dedicate to maintaining my caches, or to geocaching in general, but my work schedule is unyielding.

Geocache Description:

Lock n lock container painted to match mother nature. Several small items in the container, including some stickers for FTF. (My students love stickers. You'd think they were gold! lol)

Park on Wallace Rd. You have permission to walk near the cache spot, but do not stray far into the yard or touch any personal property.

Do not enter any other yards and watch out for nosy neighbors. If your GPS is taking you into more than a couple feet into a yard, please do not listen to it. Your geosenses should tell you where it is, especially if you read the story below.

This cache is placed in a spot that is very memorable to me. My junior year of college, I was driving up this road and a semi crossed the double yellow and nearly hit me. In order to avoid the collision, I swerved off the road to the right. I hit a concrete structure off the road (barely missed knocking my engine block back into the cab of the car and crushing my legs), skipped up onto the road and skid on some ice. Luckily, I had the presence of mind to turn the wheel or I would have hit a tree head on. As it was, my car whipped around and my back end hit the tree pretty hard. I walked away unscathed, but my car had quite a bit of damage. I named this cache in honor of the fact that I survived what could have been a fatal accident; it also happens to be lyrics to one of my favorite Pearl Jam songs: "Alive".

Congrats to gameking0914, Tom_n_JT, and Webdogbert for the FTF.
