El aparcamiento es a N 28° 17.200 W 013° 58.820.

Sigue el camino en la lava.
Un poco más adelante se llega a un "aparcamiento". ¿Un aparcamiento? ¿Sabes que es este monumento a N 28° 17.942 W 13° 59.078? Escribes a mí, por favor.
A N 28° 17.952 W 13° 59.094 giras a la izquierda.

Importante:
  • No abandone el sendero
  • No recolecte rocas, tierras o especimenes vegetales
  • Evite molestias a la fauna, sea especialmente cuidadoso en no hacer ruido
  • No altere el medio dejando basuras u otros restos
  • No modifique los elementos patrimoniales o arqueológicos
Un sendero mas:
Es sendero (salida N 28° 18.054 W 13° 58.468) atraviesa el llano central de Fuerteventura y una zona de lavas recientes, en el espacio protegido del Monumento Natural de Malpaís Grande. A lo largo del recorrido del sendero, hay oportunidad de observar especies de la avifauna, especialmente el guirre que tiene una de sus principales zonas en el llano de Tiscamanita. Este sendero (el camino de los areneros) era utilizado antiguamente por los habitants de esta localidad del interior de Fuerteventura hacia los conos volcánicos y en sus desplazamientos a la costa, continuando más allá del recorrido señalizado.

Ihr gelangt dann etwas später auf eine große, verzweigte Fläche. Dies muss ein „Parkplatz“ sein. Wer etwas mehr zu diesem Veranstaltungsort (kommt gleich noch) weiß, kann uns gern schreiben.
Den Parkplatz verlasst Ihr wieder bei N 28° 17.839 W 13° 59.009.
Jetzt folgt ihr einem größeren Weg bis N 28° 17.942 W 13° 59.078.
Wir gehen davon aus, dass hier eine kleine Gedenkstätte zu Ehren einer Heiligen war. Wer uns dazu etwas erzählen kann – schreibt uns gern!
Bei N 28° 17.952 W 13° 59.094 verlasst Ihr den größeren Weg nach links und folgt dem kleinen Pfad bis zum Cache.

Ihr befindet Euch in einem Naturschutzgebiet! Deswegen:
  • Verlasst den Weg nicht (sofern der Weg erkennbar ist)
  • Sammelt keine Steine, Erden oder gar Pflanzen ein
  • Stört die Tiere nicht und vermeidet Lärm und Krach
  • Seid umweltbewusst und hinterlasst keine Abfälle oder sonstigen Überreste
  • Verändert in keiner Weise Elemente des kulturellen Erbes oder archäologische Reste
Wer noch etwas mehr erkunden möchte:
Es führt ein Wanderweg von N 28° 18.054 W 13° 58.468 bis Tiscamanita. Der sog. „Weg der Sandträger“. Der Wanderweg verläuft durch die Zentralebene Fuerteventuras, sowie ein Gebiet historisch jüngerer Vulkanausbrüche in dem Naturschutzgebiet des Malpaís Grande. Auf der Wanderung kann man seltene Vogelarten beobachten, allen voran den Schmutzgeier (welchen wir leider noch nie sichten konnten), der in der Tiscamanita-Ebene eine seiner wichtigsten Verbreitungszonen hat. Zu früheren Zeiten wurde der Weg von den Bewohnern des Inselinneren benutzt, um zu den Vulkankegeln und (über die ausgeschilderte Strecke hinaus) zur Küste zu gelangen.

You left the “parking place” at N 28° 17.839 W 13° 59.009.
Follow the bigger trail up to N 28° 17.942 W 13° 59.078.
We think, this is a memorial place to a saint or a virgin. If you know more, please contact us.
At N 28° 17.952 W 13° 59.094 you have to turn left and follow the little path up to the cache.

You are walking in a protected natural area so
  • Do not leave the trail (if you can reach a trail)
  • Do not pick up rocks, soil or plant specimens
  • Do not disturb the wildlife, be especially careful not to make a noise
  • Do not leave any litter or other remains
  • Show respect for heritage and archaeological assets, do not alter them in any way
If you would like to explore more:
The old “Sandmen’s trail” to Tiscamanita begins at N 28° 18.054 W 13° 58.468. The trail crosses the central plain of Fuerteventura and an area of recent lava flows, in the protected area of the Malpaís Grande Natural Monument. All along the route of the trail, you have the chance to spot birds, especially the Egyptian Vulture (we didn’t see him yet), which uses the Tiscamanita Plain as one of its main ranges. This trail used to be used by the local inhabitants of this inland village when tey travelled to the volcanic cones or to the coast, beyond the sign-posted trail.
