Having grown up in Warner, I used to play in this area on snow
piles. I was recently back up here for a visit and noted that this
area needs quite a few more caches.
This spot gets pretty busy during planting and harvesting
seasons all hours of the day and night. And is still a bit active
during normal working hours. Evenings and weekends are usually
pretty quiet, but since this is one of the two main roads through
this small town, keep one eye open for onlookers.
Some may find this cache quickly while others may need two or
more trips. This is a somewhat common type of cache in the Sioux
Falls area.
As of the 2000 Census Warner had 419 residents. However, shortly
before the turn of the 20th century it was actually larger than
nearby Aberdeen and boasted a diner, two newspapers, a hotel and a
few other businesses.
