Cache Vás zavedie na miesto nad obcou Malatiná s krásnym výhladom na Chocské vrchy, Oravskú Maguru a Západné Tatry. Vrchol Ostrého vrchu (1010 m.n.m) je možné vidiet západným smerom od cache. Na Ostrom vrchu a v jeho okolí sa v minulosti tažila železná ruda. Jej prítomnost pravdepodobne spôsobuje pritahovanie bleskov pocas búrok v tejto lokalite - preto pocas búrky pozor pri odlove cache! Zdatnejší kešeri môžu zdolat vrchol Ostrého vrchu a následne prejst aj na vrchol Ostrô (1105 m.n.m.), kde je nádherný výhlad na dolnú Oravu a Malú Fatru.
Malatiná je malebná obec v okrese Dolný Kubín. Bola založená zaciatkom 14. storocia na starej královskej ceste, ktorou sa prechádzalo z Liptova na Oravu. Pôvodne bola poddanskou obcou liptovského Starého hradu, potom valaská cast patrila Oravskému panstvu. Velká nadmorská výška bola prícinou velmi zlých životných podmienok. Zaciatkom 19. storocia sa tu krátky cas tažila železná ruda. Katolícky kostol Všetkých svätých v obci je postavený v štýle klasicizmu a pochádza z roku 1804, oltáre a kazatelnica v štýle neskorého baroka, pred kostolom sa nachádza barokový stlp svätého Jána Nepomuckého z roku 1811. Dve kaplnky v obci pochádzajú z 20. storocia. V katastri obce je približne 30 studniciek a výdatný horský pramen. Malatiná je známa folklórnymi prejavmi, tkaním kobercov, chovom oviec a ako hubárska oblast. V obci sa nachádza amfiteáter, v ktorom sa pravidelne II. júlový víkend koná medzinárodný festival valaskej kultúry – Bacovské dni.
Samotná cache sa nachádza na menšom kopceku nedaleko kríža na uvedených súradniciach. Pocas zimy sa môže nachádzat pod vrstvou snehu. V lete sa tu môžu vyskytovat turisti, prípadne pracujúci lud na poliach.

Cache takes you to the place of the village Malatina with a beautiful view of Choc hills, Orava Magura and Western Tatras. The peak Ostry vrch (1010 m) can be seen in a westerly direction from the cache. It mined iron ore on the Ostry vrch and around the hill in the past. Its presence is likely to cause attract lightning during storms in this area - so watch out during a storm when you want catch this cache! Savvy cacher can beat the top Ostry vrch and then go to the top of Ostro (1105 m), where a magnificent view of the lower Orava and Mala Fatra.
Malatiná is a picturesque village in the district of Dolny Kubin. It was established beginning of the 14th century on old royal road, which passes through the Liptov in Orava. Originally it was municipality village of Liptov Old Castle, then shepherd part belonged to Orava lordship. High altitude was due to the very poor living conditions. Beginning of the 19th century was briefly mined iron ore. Saints Catholic Church in the village is built in the classicism style and dates from 1804, the altar and pulpit in the late Baroque style, front of the church is Baroque Column of St. John of Nepomuk from 1811. Two chapels in the village are dated from the 20th century. In the village is about 30 wells and abundant mountain spring. Malatina is known folklore manifestations, carpet weaving, farming a sheep as mushroom gathering area. There is an amphitheater, which regularly 2. weekend in July hosts the international festival of valas culture - Shepherd's days.
Cache is located on the smaller hill near the cross at coordinates. During the winter may be available under a layer of snow. In summer, there may be tourists or people working in the fields.
