Just out in the burbs of Caz!!
While Cazenovia has a great lake for fishing that was restored in the late 90s the bigger clame to fame is that this town is the birthplace of Rinold George "Ryne" Duren (February 22, 1929 – January 6, 2011) relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. Duren's nephew is singer Blackie Lawless (born Steven Duren on September 4, 1956 in Staten Island, New York) of the heavy metal band W.A.S.P.. Baseball Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg was named in honor of Duren.
Sure is funny how little towns like this have such a worldly connection.
