Geocache Description:

NOTE: THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!

Reservoir Dogs is the first film by writer and director Quentin Tarantino. It is about a diamond heist that goes wrong but interestingly does not show the heist itself. The story focuses on the assembling of the crime team and the aftermath of the heist as the criminals try to determine if one of them is an undercover policeman.

The film was released on 10/23/1992. The running time is 99 minutes. Tarantino was originally going to shoot the film with his friends for a budget of 42 thousand dollars in 16 mm format. However, the actor Harvey Keitel got involved, and the film was able to raise over 1 million dollars in funding. It was shot in 35 days. The film ended up grossing $2,872,029 in the US, plus nearly £6.428 million in the UK. The film became a cult hit, especially after the success of Tarantino's later films like Pulp Fiction which was released in 1994. In 2006, a video game for the movie was released. The heist crew go by code names chosen by Joe to protect their identies from each other since they've never met or worked together before.

Characters

Joe Cabot
An old crime boss who puts the heist team together. He is the father of Nice Guy Eddie. His gravely voice and rough exterior mask his sense of humor which comes out at times.

Nice Guy Eddie
Son of Joe Cabot, he is Joe's right hand man and does a lot of the legwork in getting the team together. He seems like a "nice guy," until you make him mad.

Mr. Blonde
A cheerfully amoral psychopath who is the least stable of the crew. He does whatever it takes, and more, to get what he wants. He has some of the best lines in the film thanks to his deadpan delivery.

Mr. Orange
A brash young newcomer who is trying to impress Joe on his first important job for him. He is in pretty severe pain for most of the film.

Mr. White
An older criminal who is well known and liked by Joe Cabot. He is a relatively honorable and moral man (for a criminal).

Mr. Pink
A rational man who always puts himself first. He doesn't let his emotions get in the way of discovering the truth, or guilt him into tipping.

Mr. Blue
A quiet older man who isn't in the film that much. He and Mr. Brown are the 2 least significant characters in the crew. He is played by Eddie Bunker, a former criminal in real life.

Mr. Brown
A funny younger man who has a monologue in the opening scene of the film. He is played by Quentin Tarantino himself.

Quotes

As with most Tarantino movies, the dialogue is the main feature. This film is filled with classic lines and loads of profanity. Some of the famous (clean) lines are:

"You don't need proof when you have instinct." - Joe Cabot

"Let's get a taco." - Mr. White

"You ever listen to K-Billy's 'Super Sounds of the Seventies' weekend? It's my personal favorite." - Mr. Blonde

"If I have to tell you again to back off, you an' me are gonna go round and round." - Mr. White

"You wanna [mess] with me? I'll show ya who you're [messin'] with!" - Mr. Pink

"Uh-uh, I don't tip." - Mr. Pink

"All right ramblers, let's get rambling!" - Joe Cabot

"Are you gonna bark all day, little doggy, or are you gonna bite?" - Mr. Blonde

"You shoot me in a dream, you better wake up and apologize." - Mr. White

"Mama harasses legit sinning." - Mr. Blue

"You kids shouldn't play so rough. Somebody's gonna start cryin'." - Mr. Blonde

"Now listen up, Mr. Pink. There's two ways we can do this job. My way... or the highway!" - Joe Cabot

"No way, no way. Tried it once, doesn't work. You got four guys all fighting over who's gonna be Mr. Black, but they don't know each other, so nobody wants to back down. No way. I pick. You're Mr. Pink. Be thankful you're not Mr. Yellow." - Joe Cabot

"I can say I definitely didn't do it because I know what I did or didn't do. But I cannot definitely say that about anybody else, 'cause I don't definitely know." - Mr. Pink

There are plenty of other memorable lines, but unfortunately they are not appropriate for this family-friendly website. The most famous profanity was used more than 267 times in the film.

Music

Another staple of any Quentin Tarantino film is an eclectic and terrific soundtrack. Some of the great songs on the soundtrack are:

"LITTLE GREEN BAG" by George Baker Selection

"STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU" by Stealers Wheel

"I GOTCHA" by Joe Tex

"HOOKED ON A FEELING" by Blue Swede

"COCONUT" by Harry Nilsson

Cache

Once you have determined the cache coordinates based on the information in this page, the cache itself will be challenging to find. It's a short drive from the posted coordinates. You might need a tool to retrieve the cache, or maybe not. Cache is a micro sized container with a screw top. Please beware of muggles, use stealth, bring a pen and be careful.
