This cache is in the Tararua Forest Park. Access to this entrance to the Park is along Putara Road, west of Eketahuna. There is a small carpark at the road end. This is the main access route to two tramping huts – Herepai and Roaring Stag.
The cache is about 45 minutes walk from the carpark. The track can be a little muddy in places, and you will need to cross a swingbridge. GPS coverage may be patchy due to the forest canopy.
The cache is a small pill container – contains log book only. Please bring your own pen.
