Geocache Description:

Terrain rating do to the distance from legal parking. DO NOT park along Joslyn Rd.

Welcome to Oakland County's Polly Ann Power Trail. These caches
are placed with permission from the Polly Ann Trail Management
Council. Most of the caches are placed within a few feet of the
trail and should require no bushwhacking unless noted. Please use
care to leave as little impact on the vegetation as is possible.
The trail is open from dawn to dusk year round. Search only during
open hours.

The cache names have no significance on the cache placement or
container. They are named after some of the many lakes in Oakland
County.

The Polly Ann Trail is a 14.2 mile long, non-motorized trail
located in Oakland County Michigan in suburban Detroit.

The trail connects the communities of Orion Township, Oxford
Township, the Village of Oxford, Addison Township, and the Village
of Leonard. Our popular linear park utilizes the abandoned P.O.
& N. railroad corridor, and transverses through some of the
most beautiful untouched landscape in northern Oakland County.

The Polly Ann Trail begins in Orion Township and continues
northeast through Oxford, Addison, and Leonard to the
Oakland-Lapeer county line at Bordman Road.

The trail surface is crushed aggregate and some asphalt surface
in densely populated areas. Motorized vehicles are prohibited. Dogs
should be leashed and under control. Do not litter or disturb
vegetation or wildlife. Hunting is not allowed. All users yield to
horses; cyclists yield to all other users. Helmets for riders are
not required, but are recommended. Please be courteous to your
fellow users and adjacent property owners.

There are public parking area options along the trail,
especially in Oxford and Orion Township. The Blanka Trailhead in
Leonard is the best place to park. It is large enough to
accommodate horse trailers and has a rest room. Please obey local
ordinances and do not park on private property.
