Geocache Description:

This cache was hidden on the 5th November 2011 but never published as we thought we would make it a HOT new challenge for the New Year (2012).

The theme of the cache is HOTNESS.

S 25’46.880 E 28’19.690 (Ottosdal Pl, Faerie Glen)

The coordinates above is where you need to park. There is a gate there but as far as we know it is always open. Getting to the cache requires some bundubashing up some tough, overgrown terrain and the difficulty level is probably higher than most. We wanted to make it a bit of a challenge – and not like your run-of-the-mill cache.

It is about 300 meters walk from the parking area to the hiding place.

After going through the gate proceed about 50m along the bushy passage (dodging some “knapse kerels”) until you get to a wall. This should be a very easy obstacle to overcome.

After the wall you will at some point have to climb up the hill. If you choose to walk a while along the back of the fenced properties, please be mindful of invasion of privacy (be discreet, don’t linger and if spotted, explain why you’re there).

At the top of one of the hills there is a silver mobile phone broadcast tower on a fenced property.

The cache is about 10m roughly west of the tower, but not on the private property. The view is pretty nice as well – especially at sunset.
