Playground Madness #4 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

This is the forth in a series of six caches that even the youngest cachers will enjoy. Each cache includes two parts, a cache and a clue or clues. The clues can be found on the playground or in the immediate vicinity. The cache will be at the coordinates listed above, and the playground can be found at the coordinates below. Once you have collected the clues from the six caches, you will be ready to tackle Playground Madness - The Finale!

The cache:

This cache is about .5 miles West of where the playground is. The terrain is flat. It is not necessary to leave the trail until you're within about 100 feet of the cache. The cache is located in a wildlife area and dogs are not allowed. One of the clues below will be found somewhere near the cache, not at the playground.

The original contents of the container were:

  • Screwdriver set
  • Bouncy ball
  • Puzzle cube
  • Toy Jeep
  • Computer power cord
  • Square puzzle
  • Toy airplane
  • Flashlight
  • AA batteries

The playground:

The playground is found at the Martinez Region Shoreline Park. There are two play structures nearby each other...one for younger kids, and one for older kids.

The clues:

I. Count all of the swings in the immediate area. Divide by 2.

J. In the play area to the east (bigger kids area), how many bridges link the structures?

K. O. Trent Flanagan was born in ____ (this clue is near the cache, not the playground)

Look for another cache near the playground area: Who's Up For Some Bocce Ball? - (GCV6TA)

A special thanks to ‘Mom and I.’ for creating the Playground Madness Series in 2002. Due to time constraints, the series has recently been adopted by ‘HanSohn’.
