For the very adventurous and not for the faint of heart well off the beaten track, you will need a high clearance vehicle (not necessarily 4x4), quad bike or off-road motorcycle to reach this one, once you find the spot the cache will be relatively easy to locate where it is has been hidden.
The best point to leave the main road to reach this cache is at these coordinates S26 50.072 E30 51.713 and work your way toward the border and from there track to the cache.
This used to be an old Anglican Mission Church set up by Scottish Missionaries on the Swaziland South Africa border, this was the Southernmost reach of the what was to be Nu Scotland region that was settled by Scottish Setlers in the 1860's.
The nearby town of Amsterdam was founded in 1866 by Scotsman Alexander McCorkindale. The settlement was originally known as Roburnia (after Robert Burns the Scottish poet) and was set to become the center for the surrounding area known as New Scotland.
These plans never materialized and Roburnia was re-named Amsterdam in 1882 by order of President Paul Kruger to Amsterdam in 1882. There is also a South African Natural Heritage site near the town.
