A geocaching meet 'n' greet, pizza party and celebration of RicknJoy's 120th birthday! No gifts, please! ;-)
It seems like it's been a long time since there's been a geocaching get-together in south-central Missouri, and we decided it was about time - we just don't see many of them out here in the hinterlands where cache densities aren't very high and geocaching events are few and far between. Why, we had been caching for several months before we even MET another cacher! We've seen quite a few new cachers become active in the area lately, and we'd like to meet some of them!
But what could we claim as a reason to host an event? Let's see, we're not close to any major caching milestones... there are no major holidays to tie in with.... wait a minute, what about a birthday? No, both of us have summer birthdays, but... hey, if you take us together (after all, we ARE RicknJoy), we'll be (collectively) 120 years old on February 25th! WooHoo! Now THAT's a reason for a party!
We've reserved a party room at a local establishment at the listed coordinates, and the management has sweetened the deal with a free soda if you order the buffet! Party time is 2:00 p.m. (that's 1400 for you military cachers!). Hope to see you there!
