This cache is in a small council reserve that has been revegetated
Revegetation is a way of returning a degraded area to something that resembles what the area would have looked like before humans impacted upon the spot.
Once I was driving down the tourist road that was the start of moving to Sydney and noticed that all the pine trees had been removed on what turns out is a council reserve. From their it was left to sit until a community group formed from concerned local residents who joined together to plant out and beautify the area.
The benefits of revegetation are many. For animals it can provide a home, for humans it can provide fresh air, filtered water, scenic ammenity and the list goes on.
While most of the plants are from species that have easy to collect seed, their is really good diversity and those that did this job should be really proud of the job.
