Geocache Description:

This well maintained cemetery is found next to the Spring Hill Baptist Church. The cemetery has some rather unique grave tents as well as rock enclosures over the graves made from a native conglomerate rock. A gravel pit behind the church once supplied gravel for road maintenance in northern Tuscaloosa County. These same conglomerate rocks, called iron rocks by the employees, had to be seperated from the gravel. It is hard with sharp edges, the pieces not suitable for use on the road surface. Instead the residents found a use for the material; to cover graves.
