Best to park on the Tourist Rd and walk the small distance down to this cache. base of pine post.
This area was once a pine forest. The trees where harvested and then this area was burnt. Fire is a natural stimulant and provider of fertilizer for seed germination in Mountain Ash forests, so with the seed drop from surrounding trees and seeds that have been stored in the soil, you can see the end result in just over 5 years. Their was some planting around the road edge.
