Fujinoki Park (藤の木公園） is a small scaled urban park in the residential area of the northern side of Meito-ku (名東区), Nagoya city (名古屋市).
The cache has hidden in this park.
Please bring your pen.
The park named “Fujinoki (Fuji-no-ki)” means Wisteria Tree, however, there is not any wisteria in this park.
And this area calls as Fujisato-cho; therefore, the name is not coinciding with the geographic name.
Then, the reason why this park calls “Fujinoki” regarded as the area around there had called as “Fujinoki of Fujimori village” in the Edo period.
Recently, the geographic name changed into “Fujisato-cho”, therefore, the name “Fujinoki” had lost, besides only remains as a park name.
「藤の木」という名の公園ですが、藤の木は園内に一本も見当たりません。
また、この場所の地名は名東区藤里町ですので地名とも一致しません。
ではなぜ「藤の木」なのかというと、江戸時代の頃、この辺りは藤森村の藤ノ木という字名の土地だったことに由来します。
現在は藤里町という地名に改名されてしまいましたので、藤ノ木という字名はもうこの公園にしか残っていないのです。
