Many of us vividly remember the important and sometimes tragic days that we have experienced. Things like JFK being shot, Neil and Buzz landing on the moon, the Challenger explosion, and the Oklahoma City bombing. This cache is dedicated to one of those days, 9/11. While in a local cemetery I noticed a 9/11 memorial and wanted to place a cache dealing with it somehow. Since virtual caches are no longer allowed this was the next best thing. In your logs please post your memories of that day. My memories are of driving to Seward, NE for class that day and I was just outside of York, NE when the first announcement came over that radio that a plane had hit the first building. At first everyone was thinking it was an accident and no one really understood the impact it would have on our country until the second plane hit. At that point I think everyone realized we were under attack. I don't remember much else during the day, except that everywhere you turned there was a TV on and people gathered around watching the news and praying. I remember thinking what now and how do we respond to this attack. Not everyone agrees with our tactics but some kind of justice needed to happen for those responsible. The other memory I have is paying $6.25 a gallon for gas on the way home that night. I guess that’s what I get for always having my vehicle on E. At the listed coordinates is the memorial. When walking up to it there is an engraved stone with a date and a quote from President G.W Bush. You will need information from that stone to get the final coordinates. You will be looking for a nano at the final location. For the north coordinate take the numerical value for the month squared and subtract that number from the original north coordinate. For the west coordinate take the last digit of the year on the stone and add it to the original west coordinate
