This cache is a small 35mm film canister hidden at the Black Hills Ft. Pierre Roundhouse. It contains a small log and has very little room for trade items, so bring your own pen! To access the cache park in the parking lot and start looking!
For the FTF: 4 foreign coins
There's a lot of history behind this building. It was built in 1901 as a railroad roundhouse where train engines were serviced and was of great use to the Homestake Gold Mine until the 1920's.
After sitting in disrepair for several decades a local businessman purchased it and began an intensive renovation, ultimately saving the building from being torn down.
Today it's a must see for all traveling through Lead. It's included on the National Historic Register for Lead's Historic District and worth checking out! Especially if you like trains!
