Geocache Description:

This cache takes you on a nice little stroll through this delightful park, the Fordham Gardens in Camberwell. It's a great spot for a picnic (with electric barbecues provided), for the kids to play, read or study, relax and now also find a geocache. I certainly enjoy visiting this park myself, from time to time.

A few notes before we start. First of all, the park is popular with muggles and there may be gardeners present from time to time, so keep this in mind particularly when retrieving the cache. There is no need to enter any garden beds when retrieving the cache or collecting clues.

WP1 - S37°50.740 E145°04.395

We start at a historical tram shelter, possibly designed by L J Flannagan, and built in c1917 for the Hawthorn Tramways Trust. Registered by the National Trust, it is one of sixteen surviving shelters in inner Melbourne deemed to be of significance. Be careful not to be mistaken as a passenger by any approaching trams!

You might want to check the question for letter T before starting, to avoid back tracking later on to count said object.

AB = Route number of tram service.
CD = Tram stop number.
E = How many sides of the tram shelter have a seat built in.

Check:
B + C - E = (A + C + D) / (A - B)

You are looking for a plaque commemorating those whom which this park is named after.

F = Number of letters in first name of first councillor.

I = Number of letters in first name of second councillor.
JKLM = Year elected to council.

kite flying = 9

Note: Rather than walking direct to WP3, consider walking anti-clockwise around the lake to ensure you count all the objects for question T.

WP3 - S37°LN.FI(H-G) E145°N(L-J).O(O+J)L

PQRS = The first four digits of a five digit number written on a yellow tag on nearby power pole.
T = Total number of metal seats in park (excluding those at picnic tables).
U = Number of picnic tables in park, plus the number of barbecues (count the actual hot plates).

You are looking for a 1.2L Sistema, which at the time of hiding has some small swaps and enough room for any TBs. Remember, you don't need to enter any garden beds. Please ensure the cache is well camouflaged upon re-hiding. Good luck and hope you enjoyed your visit to Fordham Gardens!
