Geocache Description:

This cache will definitely get your blood pumping! It is not for the feint of heart! This is one of the most exhilarating experiences I have ever had while hiking in the mountains of the Wasatch front.

This cache is on the Waterfall Canyon Climbing Park Via Ferrata course trail between Waterfall Canyon and Strong's Canyon. This is one of only 10 places in the United States where you can do this type of climbing.

YOU MUST BE COMFORTABLE NAVIGATING OVER LARGE BOULDERS AND ROCK FACES WITH SIGNIFICANT HEIGHTS AND EXPOSURE.

Steel cables and ladder rungs are anchored into the rock to assist you in your climb. We didn't use any climbing ropes or gear on our trip up the ridge and on up into Malan's Basin, but a safety harness and lanyard with a climbing-rated carabiner would be great to have up here.

To the north is the Mount Ogden Climbing park and there are some crazy via ferrata routes from waterfall canyon up to here. You need to book a guide to go on that route and it is private property.
If you continue up the ridge line you can access Malan's Basin, but some bushwhacking will be required.
